Asbestos Re-inspections
Once the initial asbestos management survey has completed identified then there is an on going requirement to manage the data.
The Asbestos Management Plan will need to updated to check that condition of the material hasn’t deteriorated to the stage where a remedial action (encapsulation or removal) is needed.
Where the material has been removed the records relating to this process should be managed and be able to accessible for inspection and audit purposes.
The frequency for the re-inspection process should be set in the Asbestos Management Plan and the typical standard recommendation is that the process should be conducted annually but the inspection frequency should risk based.
An increased inspection frequency may be appropriate if the property contains higher risk asbestos containing material such sprayed coatings, thermal insulation and asbestos insulating boards.
As part of the Asbestos Compliance audit we will provide a recommendation on the re-inspection process and suggested frequency of inspections.
A re-inspection is also the opportunity to gain access to any previously non accessible areas and we can provide Asbestos Surveying services to allow the property be fully inspected and assessed
